Other causes of neck pain include stress or anxiety; whiplash injuries from accidents; extended periods spent at a desk; incorrectly set up desk and computer at work; driving or poor sleeping positions. Neck pain can also be caused by wear and tear and processes from problems with the discs.
The pain may radiate into your shoulder and/ or arm and you could even experience a prickly, tingly sensation in the arms and fingers. It is important to tell your osteopath as much detail as possible to assist them in making a diagnosis.
Your osteopath will assess what is causing the problem and give treatment accordingly. This will be accompanied by home care advice and suggestions to help eliminate or minimize the problem.
